1. What information the app handles
1.1 Stored locally on your device
The following is stored only on your device. None of it is transmitted to the developer:
- Browsing history — URLs, page titles, and timestamps. You can clear this in Settings.
- Bookmarks — URLs and titles you choose to save.
- Open tabs — current URL and title for each tab.
- App settings — DoH provider choice, homepage URL, ad blocker toggle, PIN lock salted hash.
- Web cookies and cache — managed by Android System WebView.
1.2 Information sent over the network
- Your DNS lookup is sent to the DoH resolver you selected (default Cloudflare 1.1.1.1). This goes directly from your device to that resolver. The developer does not operate any DoH resolver and never sees these queries.
- Your HTTP/HTTPS request is sent to the website itself. The developer does not proxy, log, or inspect this traffic.
1.3 We do not collect
- Your name, email, account info (the app has no accounts).
- Location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone.
- Crash reports or analytics events sent to us.
- Advertising identifiers.
2. Permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| INTERNET | Load web pages |
| ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Detect online/offline state |
3. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
4. Third-party DNS resolvers
- Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 — privacy policy
- Google Public DNS — privacy policy
- Quad9 — privacy policy
- AdGuard DNS — privacy policy
5. Security
- Local storage is private to the app on a non-rooted device.
- The PIN feature stores only a salted hash, not the PIN.
- All connections default to HTTPS.
6. Your rights
- Clear browsing data via in-app Settings.
- Clear all app data via Android Settings → Apps → Vermax Browser → Storage → Clear data.
- Uninstall the app to remove everything.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the new version at the same URL.
